Chairman of the Board
Olle Olsson has been working in the field of solar energy since 2006 in numerous companies. First in Absolicon AB as an engineer and researcher and later in a strategic role as chairman of the Absolicon board. He has also worked at Solarus Sunpower Sweden ABfor 3 years and is active in the board of the solar process equipment manufacturer Saravanos Solar++ AB. Olle is the owner of consultant firm Mxsol AB and has been a board member of Industrial Solar since 2018.

Christian Zahler has a Master’s degree in physics from the University of Freiburg. Working in the field of solar thermal technologies for about 30 years, he started his “solar career” at the Fraunhofer ISE in Freiburg. Later, he moved on to work at research institutes in Portugal and Norway. In 1999, he returned to Freiburg and joined PSE AG, where he was responsible for the solar thermal department. In 2008, Christian and Tobias Schwind jointly founded Industrial Solar.
Tobias studied economics in Germany and holds an MBA from ESCP-Europe/Paris. From 2002-2005, he was senior investment manager at Fraunhofer Venture and responsible for multiple start-ups in the field of renewable energy technologies. Additionally, he has several years of experience in consulting and in building up new production sites and in international business deve-lopment. Together with Christian Zahler, Tobias founded Industrial Solar in 2008 and was managing director of Industrial Solar GmbH until 2019. Today, he is the co-founder and managing director of Fraunhofer Technology Transfer Fonds GmbH (FTTF) and responsible for investments especially in the renewable energy and sus-tainability sector and is board member in various companies in such fields.
Joao Gomes holds an engineering degree, a Master’s degree in management of Environ-mental Systems, and a PhD in concentrating photovoltaic thermal solar collectors. He started his solar career at CERN in Switzerland. Later, he moved on to Lund University in Sweden as a guest researcher and collaborated with the university in Mozambique where he built a small-scale solar laboratory with two colleagues. Since 2010, he has been working at Solarus where he is currently Research Director. He is also chairman of the board of the consulting company MG Sustainable Energy AB.
Markus Augustsson holds a Master's degree in Finance from Lund University and has studied mathematics, philosophy and pro-gramming at Linköping University. Markus has worked in the financial sector since 2008. At Nordea Markets, he worked with equities and derivatives trading. Today, Markus is Head of Equity Research (Head of Analysis) at Carlsquare, a financial advisor with offices in Stockholm, Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, London and Copen-hagen.
Daniel Pfeifle studied from 2005 to 2009 at the University of Applied Sciences in Nordhausen/ Germany and is a graduate engineer in the field of renewable energy systems. From 2009 to 2012, he worked at Fraunhofer ISE in the field of solar seawater treatment before joining SolarSpring as a project engineer, being responsible for the area of membrane distillation and strategic alignment. In 2016, he took over the management of SolarSpring.
